We found this growing in the straw next to a construction site. Thought it was beautiful. Is it some variety of Angel's Trumpet?

It looks like a Datura of some sort to me. Devil's Trumpet. Look how healthy the foliage is!
I would agree that it looks like a Datura. The effect of the one flower with all that green foliage is striking.
Happy GTS--late!
I have never heard of Datura. But it is striking.
Enjoy.
Both Brugmansia & Datura are in the same family of Solanaceae.
Brugmansia grow into trees, Most of their flowers point down. Their common name is Angels Trumpet.
Datura flowers point up and are called Devils Trumpet. They produce round, spikey seed pods.
